Book Review: THINK AND GROW RICH by Napoleon Hill

Introduction

I thought thinking was a very easy skill to learn but Henry Ford once said "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it".

Every action begins with a thought and everything our eyes can see today was possible because it was once existing as just a little flame of idea.

The question is; How can we conceive and birth an idea into reality?
The following are just a few of the many practical lessons that can be learned from the book "Think and Grow Rich".

1. Develop a burning desire

Hill believed that the first step to achieving success is having a clear, specific goal and a strong desire. He called this a "burning desire." When you have a burning desire, it will motivate you to take action and overcome obstacles.

2. Have faith in yourself

He also believed that self-confidence and self-belief are essential for achieving success. He said that you must have faith in your ability to achieve your goals, even when things get tough.

3. Take action

Mr. Hill emphasized that knowledge is only potential power until it is put into action.

He encouraged readers to take consistent and persistent action towards their goals and to not be discouraged by setbacks or failures.

4. Surround yourself with like-minded people

Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is essential for achieving success. He advised readers to find mentors and peers who share their vision and can provide support and encouragement.

He believed that a mastermind group is particularly powerful, where individuals come together to support each other's goals and ambitions.

5. Write down your goals and read them every day.

This will help you stay focused and motivated.

6. Break your goals down into smaller, more manageable steps.

This will make them seem less daunting and more achievable.

7. Find a mentor or coach who can help you achieve your goals.

This person can provide guidance and support.

8. Persist until you succeed.

Hill's final lesson is that you must persist until you succeed. He said there will be times when you want to give up, but you must keep going to achieve your goals.

Bonus:

9. Don't give up.

Success takes time and effort, but it is possible if you persist.
